Join us for the 2021 Season Opening of Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement on Saturday, June 5 from 11a.m. – 4p.m and Sunday, June 6 from 1p.m. – 4p.m.
The 40-acre rural property gives visitors plenty of space to spread out and maintain a safe social distance while strolling through the re-created settlement. Check in at the Visitor Center for an illustrated map and audio tour where you can listen, learn and experience life as it was during pioneer days.
Bring a picnic and take advantage of the tables throughout the property or at the open-air pavilion. On Saturday, June 5, Scouts and Homeschoolers will be showing off their activities and a blacksmith will be onsite demonstrating his trade.
The pioneer settlement gives visitors a glimpse of rural life from the 1840s through the turn of the century. It has been open to the public since 1997, recreating the past with restored historical structures, each filled with authentic period furnishings that demonstrate life before and after the Civil War.
The settlement will be open Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Sundays 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. through October.
Admission on June 5 is:
$10 — ages 6 and up.
