After 43 years of searching and collecting, they have 18 restored buildings on the grounds of Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement.

Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement exists solely through the 43 years of hard work, financial backing and determination of JoAnn Weakley and her husband Glenn. JoAnn, who spent most of her professional life as an accountant but started out as a teacher, and Glenn, who was a farmer, believed that children and people of all ages needed a place to understand what life was like in the 1830-1870 period of history.

Easter Egg Hunt Coming to Historic Collinsville

Historic Collinsville opens for the 2019 season on Saturday, April 20, with its annual Spring Homecoming. This year, the pioneer settlement is also hosting an Easter Extravaganza with egg hunts and prizes for ages 1-12.

Events scheduled for opening Saturday include tours of the property’s historic buildings with docents telling stories, egg hunts, food trucks, lawn games and an inflatable bouncy house.
